Hello, I've had this program for forever now and have never been able to find a solution. Every day, around 11pm or so there's an exact time that it happens every time but I forget, my OneDrive syncs. This is fine, I want OneDrive to sync, but what I don't want is Windows minimizing whatever full-screen application I'm using whenever this automatic sync occurs. I'll be playing a game, and at whatever time, I'll have my game minimized and see that both my OneDrive accounts are syncing. I've looked at event viewer and all that to verify that this activity happens because of OneDrive. How to fi

  2. Games are being minimized

my games i play started minimizing randomly a month ago and i have no idea what is causing it. It started only doing it during it in a couple of games but now its happening in everything i play.

    Ive tried:

    • Updating all my drives and such
    • closing unneeded apps in the background
    • Completely unplugging my second monitor
    • Turing off notifications, the news and weather tool bar
    • moving my toolbar to the top of my screen
    • turning off the windows gaming mode
    • used a window logger to see if a program was causing it but it showed nothing

I've tried so many things and asked so many people and ive gotten nowhere. I made no big changes at the time is started so could an update of done it? could it be my hardware causing it?

OneDrive Placeholders are coming back, now called On-Demand Sync

"At Ignite 2016, Microsoft has just announced that it is bringing Placeholders back to OneDrive on Windows 10. Now, they are not called Placeholders anymore — Microsoft is renaming the feature to “On-Demand Sync” which makes a lot more sense than “Placeholders”.

The company demoed this feature at Microsoft Ignite today, and it works just like it used to previously. As you can see in the screenshot above, the files stored in OneDrive weighed in around 9GB, but the actual size on disk was only around 3MB which is really neat. Of course, this feature isn’t anything new as it was available back in the Windows 8 days. However, Microsoft removed the feature with Windows 10, and after lots of waiting, they are finally coming back.

In case you are not familiar with OneDrive Placeholders, it’s a pretty neat feature which lets you see all of your OneDrive files on your computer — but they are not actually downloaded on your PC. When you open them, OneDrive will download the files on-demand, saving your local space which is really useful, especially if you have a PC that doesn’t have a lot of storage.

While Microsoft didn’t announce when exactly On-Demand Sync will be available to OneDrive users, we suspect it will be available with Windows 10 Redstone 2 — which is expected to arrive early next year.

    Games keeps minimizing by themselves

    Hello Jakub,

A software conflict is a common cause for this kind of issue on Windows. To determine which program is possibly causing the unexpected minimization of your game, I suggest performing a clean boot. Performing this isolation method will start Windows with
a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. We can then identify whether a background program is interfering with your games. Refer to the section:
How to perform a clean boot from this support
    article
for the steps on how to perform a clean boot in Windows 10. You can also watch our
    for more details.

    IMPORTANT: Go to the section:
Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the PC in normal startup after identifying the cause of the issue.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
