I got a prompt asking if I want to backup my files to OneDrive. I thought it was a good idea and said yes. Well, that was a mistake.Windows took all of the files for backup from my secondary drive D and dumped them onto my primary C, which doesn't have enough space for all of them as it is my boot drive. That drive C is now full, and my computer is running very slowly. Every time I try to move the folder location back to D, I get an error message. How can I undo this screwup?

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Undo all OneDrive backup

I accidentally clicked on start backup on onedrive, but since I did not like it, I unlinked my PC from onedrive and signed out of onedrive.

Now my files are all over the place, and my desktop is now defaulted to the desktop in onedrive.

How do I undo everything and make it back to when I didnt have onedrive on? Not just about the files and folders, but like desktop and documents folder and such.

    Undo all OneDrive backup

    Hi Kevin,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Seems like something wasn't properly undoed after removing Onedrive.

Please install Onedrive again. Then do the following to safety restore local paths:

Click the Onedrive icon on your Taskbar.

    Click the gear icon>Settings.

On the backup tab, click Manage backup.

Click Stop Backup besides all the folders which are checked.

    Click Got it.

This should stop the syncing of all the folders.

Let us know how that goes. I am looking forward to your response and am committed to working with you until we resolve this.
