    I've had a OneDrive account for years and was always able to access it on my laptop. I recently received a message that the version of Win10 on my laptop was reaching it's end support date, so did I want to update to the most recent version of Win 10. I elected to update. Latest version of Win 10 installed and everything was fine until I tried to access my One Drive via the laptop. All the files on the One Drive had a grey X on them and none of them could be accessed. When I clicked on the One Drive icon in the system trey, a window opened that said One Drive isn'

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    OneDrive Personal Vault - accessing from Android device

    I am trying to access my OneDrive Personal Vault using my Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone.
    Whatever I try I end up with a screen telling me to create a Personal Vault, rather than opening the existing one, which was in fact the 'starting point'.

    Steps taken:
    - sign in using my Outlook account
    - select verification method (send a code to my gmail account)
    - paste that into the verification screen

    After clicking [Verify] I get this "Create a Personal Vault"-screen.

    Any suggestions?

    OneDrive - Bait and switch (but to what?)

    Yea, they just stopped giving unlimited space to Office subscribers as well. I use google drive, dropbox and I do use onedrive, but nothing major in onedrive. I read something about Amazon has that's not bad and is fairly cheap. It's called "Amazon Glacier". It's $0.007 per gigabyte per month, but it's not like google drive or onedrive. You upload your files and hours later you can get access to it. So, for backups it's not a bad solution, but if you need access to the files regularly then it wouldn't be.
