Windows 10: Offline upgrade of Win10 21H1 to 21H2

Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to upgrade Win10 21H1 to 21H2 in an offline environment?Is there other option other than Windows Update or WSUS?

How to force upgrade of Win10 20H2 to only 21H1 and NOT (!) to 21H2?

Download the November 2021 ISO via TechBench by WZT (v4.1.1)

Select the necessary drop down data, for instance:





Click on Download to get the ISO




then right click on the ISO to mount it





and run setup.exe.





This will upgrade you to 21H1 19041.1288.

 

How to force upgrade of Win10 20H2 to only 21H1 and NOT (!) to 21H2?

As you know the end of support period for Win10 20H2 end in May.

Normally an upgrade is always enforced to the currently newest Win10 version.
This means Win10 21H2

I prefer an upgrade to only Win10 21H1

How can I achieve this?

Yes, it does. 2004 was the last Feature Update to perform a full download and install of a new OS, creating a windows.old folder. Each feature update since then has been performed by installing an enablement package, usually through Windows Update, which enables dormant features that have already been installed through routine cumulative updates. Each enablement package turned on the new features for its version, and changed both the version name (20H2, 21H1, 21H2) and the major build number (19042, 19043, 19044). The minor build number remains the same as the system files are the same for all versions.
