Windows 10: NVME SSD speeds are super slow, what can i do?

So i have 2 M.2 NVME SSD's in my pc. One is a Kingston 1tb which during test reads around 6000mb/s and writes around 5300mb/s. The second is a western digital 512gb. Not sure about the speeds on this since thats not as important. Anyways, whenever i download a file for example and moving it from downloads to lets say, documents or whatever. On the same disk i get extremly low speeds down to kb/s most of the time and i think something is wrong. The pc is quite new with all new updates and drivers installed. slow nvme speeds 500mb/s write

I have a storage setup comprising 20TB of SSD storage, including 3 NVMe SSDs and 5 additional SSDs. The 5 SSDs are configured in RAID 0, achieving approximately 2000MB/s read/write speeds. Similarly, the 2 NVME SSDs, rated at 5000MB/s each, are set up in RAID 0, reaching around 10000MB/s read/write speeds using Windows 11's software-based RAID 0 functionality.

One of my NVMe SSDs, a standalone 2TB module directly connected to the CPU for low latency, is rated at 7500MB/s read/write speeds. Upon initial Windows installation, the NVMe SSD performed admirably, achieving the expected 7500MB/s read and write speeds. However, after configuring the system and installing Bitdefender, among other applications, I've noticed a significant drop in write speeds. Presently, the write speeds struggle to surpass 2000MB/s.

I've tried troubleshooting by uninstalling Bitdefender and other applications, yet the issue persists. Could this be related to a Windows 11 update or perhaps a configuration issue? I appreciate any insights or suggestions to help resolve this matter.

  - Windows 11 Defender is completely uninstalled,
  - Bitdefender (my anti-virus) is completely uninstalled,

  - The same drive (C achieved those advertised speeds using benchmarks on bootable linux.

Will this nvme work at full speed with my motherboard?

SATA SDD max speed is very slow compared to the max speed you can reach with an NVME SSD on your motherboard, with a good SATA SSD you will reach up to 550 MB/s I would only recommend you this if the price is a problem.

 

Suddenly slow SSD speed

I have a NVMe PC771 NVMe SK hynix 1tb SSD and just recently my SSD started getting read speeds of 100-200kb/s and write speeds of 100kb-200mb/s.

I don't remember messing with any settings (maybe I have I'm not sure) but I've also been getting FPS drops in games.
