    Notepad opens in minimize state and will not maximize


    I am having an odd issue that has shown up on fresh imaged windows 10 machine.I open file explorer, right click on a text file and select edit.The file opens in a minimize state on the taskbar and will not maximize to edit.All I can do is close the notepad document.Thoughts???

    notepad opens maximized

    I use Notepad all the time - but something happened overnight and now, when I launch Notepad it opens fully maximized and will not minimize. I have tried to resize it without success. Have tried rebooting and restarting without success. I need to know
    how to resize Notepad other than right click drop-down or else a way to way to re-set Notepad I guess.

    All of my saved notepad txt files open minimized. How can I have them open
    maximized?

    I've already tried Type notepad in start menu search field> right click it> properties> shortcut tab> for the 'Run' option, select 'Maximized'. Apply> ok.
    If I make a notepad shortcut on my desktop the shortcut will open maximized. It is the saved
    txt files that will not open full screen.

    Notepad now opens maximized (taking the full screen)

    On Windows 10, Notepad now opens maximized (taking the full screen), and clicking the "smaller size" button doesn't work. It allows me to see full screen or to minimize iit completely. This may also happen with other apps.

    Is there a way to regain the middle ground and show Notepad in a minimized window?
