    Notepad.exe Typing Cursor Insertion Point, not Mouse Disappears after 12 Seconds of Not Typing


    Yesterday, my Notepad.exe started hiding as in disappears and is no longer visible the insertion point if I stop typing for 12 seconds or longer.If I stop typing, the insertion point will flash for exactly five seconds, then become solid for exactly seven seconds, and then disappear completely until I start typing again. I've sat and timed it, multiple times, just watching it, and doing nothing else. Once I start typing again, the insertion point becomes visible again, right where it had been, and I can continue typing without a problem. However, I want to know how to keep the insertion

    Cursor Disappears roughly 5 seconds- cant type until it returns.

    Hi, please check what happens in Safe Mode.
    Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials

    What sort of mouse are you using? Can you try a different one/ different type?

    Did you receive an update when just before you noticed this problem?

    Cursor Disappears while typing.

    What can be done to stop the cursor from disappearing while typing in windows 10. Cursor disappears and no further typing is displayed until the cursor is repositioned where it left off. This is very annoying as only a few words can be typed and the
    cursor leaves.

    yeah i should of said that have to click before moving pointer.
