in people hub, only updates from linkedin show up, not facebook or twitter.

Just under the what's new title is a sub-heading. It usually says "all accounts", "Facebook", "LinkedIn" or "Twitter". Tap that and choose all accounts.

FYI, the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn apps do not affect the People hub in any way.

 

Link Twitter usernames to contacts in People hub?

Yes, you can link your Twitter contacts with specific contacts in your People hub.

First add your twitter account to your phone by tapping Settings > swipe over to Applications > scroll down and tap People.

Scroll down the page and tap "add an account" and add your twitter account.

Then scroll up to the top of the page and tap the "filter by contact list" button. Make sure there's a checkmark in the box next to "Twitter"

After the twitter account is synced over to the phone (the first sync might take a few minutes), you can go to the people hub and see your twitter contacts there.

To link these new contacts to existing contacts, just tap one of the contacts to open it up, then tap the small the link icon on the bottom of the screen (it is the one in the center) and select the contact that you want to link it to.
