Windows 10: New buld 9926 installation . update error

Hi,

I saw that new preview was available, but after downloading when system rebooted, I got some recovery error, then it rebooted and it said it failed to installed and that previous version wa restored.

Now when I go in Update and Preview download and install, i get error : 0x80246013 (see screenshot) Just to let you know all updates were successfully installed on previous later official build (9879).

Please anyone help ? I am also downloading ISO but i dont want to do clean install *Sad too much program to re install

I have the Technical Preview, build 9926 and have always had 'issues' when updating. Finally got WSUS to work nicely with it, however, can't seem to upgrade beyond build 9926.

Now Windows updates are not playing nicely (and again I'm guessing it's because of the build I'm on) and so I don't think I'll be able to register for my free upgrade to Windows 10? Or am I missing something?

In case you can help with the upgrade error, I'm on the slow track, and the error I see is:

Failed to install the new preview build; please try again later. 0x80070005

Google hasn't exactly turned up much info on this error to go by, but of course it would be nice to know I don't have to fully reformat my whole machine on July 29th!

 

Windows Update Error 0x80070057 - Windows 10 TP 9926

There is problem installing Windows 10 updates, it keep telling me to try again later. The error code I get is 0x80070057.

 

Never mind, got pissed of by the error that keep coming after trying for hours and even solution on Google didn't helped. So did a clean install, wasted so much time in backup and restore but at least i have a clean install lol

But surprised they keep adding features but don't correct issue like this which exit for decade (google search bring so many old post)

 

Sorry the update didn't work for you. There are still bugs in the process and I hope they'll get it fixed when the final release comes out.

How do you fail to understand ? Because old result means that this problem existed on older version of windows and it continue to exist
