Windows 10: New built PC and old PC windows questions.

I built a new PC and moved everything except the old C:/ windows drive. The new PC is just for games. The old PC is for other utilities, paying bills, shopping, etc.1. The new PC I made I used an install usb from the old PC Win 10 for a clean install of Win 11. Activation shows the old PC Win 10. I didn't click on that and cancelled because I still want to use that computer. I assume I need to buy a new activation key to remove the watermark on the screen on the new PC.2. I removed all the other drives from the old PC which only had game libraries on them. Now the old PC will not boot anymor

With regards to your last question, I am a bit unsure what you mean, you would need to purchase that new Windows 10 licence for your new build, the old digital licence will transfer to your wife on the old PC . .

I'm in the process of assembling a new PC and am going to give the old PC to my younger brother. I want to transfer my existing license to the new computer and if possible "de-license" the old one. These are the particulars:

• My Windows 10 license was purchased on the Microsoft website and originally activated with a product key.
• I still have this product key.
• I have since formatted the PC and after re-installing Windows 10 the activation is now with a digital license.
• I prefer using local accounts on my PC and thus haven't created a Microsoft account enabled user.

My question is how to best go about transferring the license? Can I just format the old PC and activate my license on the new PC with the product key? If I do that will I get a problem when my brother installs Windows on the old computer again, since it
now has a digital license?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

old PC files xfr to new PC

I have a new Dell PC. My old HP crashed. I'm trying to recover the data on the old PC. Any suggestions
