  1. Need to make my client computers get Group policy update from Different Domain controllers...

I have four Domain controllers running Windows Server 2022.. I need to decommission one of the domain controllers, but i noticed all my client computers are getting GP update from this domain controller. I have set a group policy to make all my client computer get group policy update from the PDC but this is not solving the solution as all client computers are still getting their group policy from the DC that need to be decommissioned. Please i need suggestion on how to resolve the issue.

    :)

  2. Group Policy not synchronizing across member domain controllers and not applying to client computers as well

We have three domain controllers, the primary and two secondary domain controllers, Once we create group policies on the primary domain controller show to only to group policy console on the other domain controllers but they cannot be shown on sysvol folders, client computers as well cannot get group policy settings from the domain all the domain controllers are Windows Server 2019.

    Error message below:

Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were encountered:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\(domain name)\SysVol\(domain name)\Policies\{1C2E6929-A734-45C9-92A9-166D25A74015}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:

    a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.

    b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).

    c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.

User Policy update has completed successfully.

To diagnose the failure, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. May I know, which version of Windows is installed on your computer?
    2. Is your system connected to Domain network?

If you are not on a domain network you can try the troubleshooting steps provided below.

    Method 1: Winsock reset.

    1. Start your PC in safe mode.
    2. Once you are on the same mode.
    3. Search for Command Prompt on the Start Menu.
    4. Right click and Run as Administrator.
    5. Type in netsh winsock reset
on the command prompt and hit enter.
    6. Reboot the computer and check.

If you still face the issue you can try the suggestion

How to fix "The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access denied." error?
Posted by Mohammad Iqubal, However from this article I suggest you not to delete the data, you can try to move
    it to a safe location.
