    NEED HELP FIXING FRAME DROPS ON LEGION Y540


    Specs : i5-9300H, gtx 1650, windows 10 (version 1909), 256gb ssd, 1tb HDD, 8 gb ram.

    I play games like watch dogs 2, csgo, valorant and gta 5, I get above 60 fps in all games, csgo and valorant being 150 +. Recently I've noticed the frames in all games dropping to 10-30 fps, and staying there for sometime and returning to normal then going back. I restart the games, and they work fine for like 5 minutes until the frame drops start.

    I updated to the latest GTX Drivers, checked DSR which was off, performed a virus scan, and I noticed the Gpu Usage during drops goes to 10%, I've also had a dirty disk error for sometime, but I disabled the check using chkntfs or something , not sure, I watched a YouTube video and did so.

    Do you guys know a fix, or should I reinstall windows and see?

    Touchpad is'nt working for Legion Y540-IRH. It doesn't appear at device manager as well

    There is no option to enable/disable the touchpad through BIOS in the Lenovo Legion y540.

    I'm using hotkeys fn+11 to turn on/off the touchpad, but it doesn't work. I have even tried to install Ubuntu as second OS and tried to go for fn+11 - there is visual feedback that touchpad is turning on and off, but in reality touchpad doesn't work.

    What are the best ways to stop/prevent frame drops in games.

    For example I have a Asus OG Strix 4gb Radeon RX470 but in games like Overwatch whenever I jump into the action my frames start to plummet

    I have been having terrible frame drops playing fortnite on my hp omen dropping from 120 to 30 randomly, tried reseting my computer didn't work. Does any of you have the same problem or better yet a solution. Thanks!
