Windows 10: My surface screen has a faded vertical line down the middle

Just opened my surface laptop and there is a wide faded vertical line down the middle, any ideas on how to get rid of this or why it is there?

win 10 update leaves vertical pink line on screen

today i applied latest win 10 update and now i have a vertical pink line on screen, it remains on every screen. i have tried these fixes

Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan,
System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the display drivers and check.

Steps to Update the Display Adapter driver.

• Press Windows key + Xkey when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right on the Display Adapter and click on
  Update driver software

BUT i still have the line on screen.

 

fix fading vertical lines on my screen

I go through periods of my computer working OK and then for no reason the screen starts to fade and I get colored vertical lines. I then have to bang the screen to clear it up. I paid a repairman and it worked for a few days and it started again.
He updated my Windows 10 thinking that was the problem but obviously not. This has been going on the last 4 or 5 months. I would really like to find a solution before scraping the computer a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series that I bought 2 1/2 yrs ago for occasional
use. Thankyou.

 

Vertical Lines on screen

Hi,

I installed 2mth ago window 10 on my Asus Zen Notebook UX301LA everything went well, no problems. Two days ago a update of windows got installed, since then I have a vertical line on the right hand of the screen plus to very faint ones in the middle. I assume
it is a driver problem does any body have the same issue? I have contacted Asus support as I could not see any replacement driver on there website. Any help or suggestion would be welcome.
