    i have no idea why this is happening. i go into my system storage to clean it up because it says its almost full. i then look at t my storage space and i have 149/187 GB used but i dont have nearly enough apps to even fill 50 GB of my storage

    If a category can't show the folders that it contains, there is a possibility that the folders are somehow hidden. To maximize your PC's storage, follow the suggested steps in these links:

    "Other People" category taking up storage space

    Hi Marge,

    Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start menu)

    Go to System - Storage

    Click on your Hard Drive

    Click on Other People Category

    Does it allow you to click through to see what folders are using this space?

    Surface Pro 3 storage space is low. Storage settings say that Apps and Games is using 17.5 GB but when I add up the space from the list of apps it is only 5.7 GB. What is taking up up the other ~12 GB and how do I free up space?
