    My son is set up to a family account, but I no longer have access to the 'organiser' email....


    My son's original microsoft account was accidentally set up with my work microsoft account. I no longer work there, so have lost access to this email. Because he is young, only the organiser can remove him. But I can't without accessing the old microsoft account. I've tried, and had a conversation with someone from Microsoft Support, who directed me to this platform.I want to:delete the old family group, consequently removing him from the familyset up a new family group and add him to it with my everyday email address.Is there an easy way to do it?

    Bypass Family Settings by conversion to Local Account


    What you describe should be impossible. To test this I just now created a child account on my PC and signing in to it tried to change it to either an admin account or a local account. Could not do that.

    The only way your son can change his account to a local account and "remove" it from Family, or create a new account is to have access to an admin account on that same PC (your account), or alternatively access to your admin MS account's Family settings online. For that he needs both your MS account username and password. It means that if you protect your own personal admin account (MS account) with a strong password and especially the Two-Step Verification, he has no way to access that account and he should not be able / is not able to change your Family settings or his account status.

    Family Admin is no longer available

    The family administrator for my children's accounts is no longer available to access their accounts. My son got a PC recently and because we cannot access the admin's account anymore, he can't leave the family group. He is listed as being 10 and under and is older now. Is there any way to remove his account from the family or another way to solve this?
