Windows 10: My Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard does not work, the mouse works fine

I recently got a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse set, complete with keypad. I inserted the dongle and the mouse works just fine out of the box, the keyboard and keypad however do not. I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers to no avail. Restarted my laptop each time. The keyboard and keypad have no on/off switch or pairing button, I assume they're supposed to just work once batteries are changed. I've changed the batteries and that does not fix the issue. I've tried different USB ports, I've tried it out on a different device, nothing seems to work. Would r

New Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse

My previous Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse has the rubber on the side coming off. Purchased a new mouse, same kind. Now the new mouse works fine but now the Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard is not working. Will the new ergonomic mouse work with my 'old'
ergonomic keyboard? If so, what do I need to do?

Keyboard of Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse stopped working

The keyboard of Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Wireless stopped but the numeric pad and mouse still works. I saw the issue was brought up in the web but did not work for him.

I'd appreciate any help on this problem.

 

Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard not working

Hi,

I purchased a sculpt ergonomic set: Keyboard with number pad, and sculpt ergonomic mouse.

I lost the usb dongle that controlled both the keyboard and mouse collectively.

My only option was to purchase a new mouse as, as far as I am aware you can't buy the usb dongle separately.

I inserted the new usb dongle into my laptops usb port and the new mouse works perfectly. My laptop however doesn't work even with fresh batteries.

if the batteries are flat in the number pad, will this affect functionality?

I have downloaded the mouse and keyboard center but there is no information on there regarding the keyboard at all. In my device manager I have "wireless keyboard filter device".

If a device is permanently synced to a dongle, then what are the options with regards to getting a dongle replaced?

My laptop is an Acer Travelmate P236
