Windows 10: My screen used to say welcome enter password .now it says I need to reset my pin but it...

My screen now says that something happened need to reset my pin. but won't let me do anything,

Set to skip username/password but log-in screen says password is wrong

I used to be able to skip the log-in process on my Windows 10 machine but recently it started saying that my password is incorrect and refusing to skip the log-in. I then have to enter my PIN or password. I have confirmed that "users must enter a username and password to use this computer" is unchecked.

 

Can’t enter pin,says new user ,locked out

Locked out of pc,sign in screen says unable to use pin,then right under says enter new pin,I hit enter new pin and behind it while it’s twirling it says in big bold letters New User and it just goes back to enter new pin or welcome screen.Tried Advanced options but won’t take password,says wrong password on everything I try,only thing I can do is reboot from storage device and reinstall losing everything,does anyone know of a better way? Talked to support,waste of time,thanks
