    My schools onedrive folder has "captured" my files.


    Hi!I recently started studying and my school had an offer of 1tb og free onedrive storage for its students. I signed up for this, but it seems like the schools onedrive "captured/migrated" my personal files onto its new platform and my locally installed programs cant access these files anymore. Is there a fix for this?

    Xbox captures default folder

    Hi,

    Yes, you can change the default folder for Xbox captures in OneDrive by following these steps:

    1. Open the OneDrive app on your device.
    2. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Settings."
    3. Go to the "Auto Save" tab.
    4. Under the "Screenshots" and "Captured gameplay" sections, select the "OneDrive" option and then click "Update folders."
    5. Deselect the Xbox captures folder that you no longer want to be the default and select the new folder you want to use instead.
    6. Click "Update" to save your changes.
    After completing these steps, any new Xbox captures will be saved to the new default folder you selected in OneDrive. If you want to move your existing captures to the new folder, you can do so by selecting them in OneDrive and using the "Move" function to move them to the new folder.

    Captures Folder Stuck in OneDrive

    I accidentally moved my Captures folder to my OneDrive Home folder. This essentially moved all my files there, but got rid of the actual Captures folder. How do I recover the folder in this case? I can provide any info/screenshots needed.

    I've seen several threads that are close, but this does NOT work as the Captures folder got absorbed by the OneDrive folder.

    The following do NOT solve this:

    Xbox game capture folder merged with Onedrive

    I accidentally moved the Xbox game capture folder into my Onedrive folder, and they merged? So now all my captures are stored in the onedrive folder. The "Captures" folder is gone, and the onedrive folder has got no "location" tab or "restore defaults" button in it's preferences. So I can't seem to change the capture folder location again. Is there any way out of this?
