Windows 10: My Qualcomm Atheros qca9377… is missing

A few days ago, my laptop suddenly couldn't detect/connect to any wifi source, I ran troubleshooting and it gave me two reasons:1. No Ethernet Cable detected I don't use it so I disregarded this2. The Qualcomm Atheros qca9377... I forgot the whole name of itI searched for solutions on my phone regarding the Atheros Qca9377 and several sites/tutorials told me to:1. Update it in Device Manager 2. Uninstall but DO NOT delete the Qualcomm then Scan for hardware changes and it will come backFirst option didn't solve it, but second option did, for a while only. Hello, I'm using an ASUS X442URR

my laptop suddenly not connected to wifi, my wifi driver (qualcomm) is also missing in the device manager






The wireless adapter under Qualcomm is not available in the device manager menu, not even if i scan for hardware changes,

uninstall, re-install the adapter plus necessary driver, reboot the computer, nor even if I do a network reset. and the only way im using the wifi is using the external wifi adapter

Are there any other solutions to this problem to make the wireless adapter appear?

Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 WirelessNetworkAdapter is missing/not present

I had a similar problem with the Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 card and it turned out the driver was not signed.

I had to find an upto date signed driver and inject it into install.wim and clean install OS before device manager even recognised the hardware.

As it is not recognised, it may be under other devices. If so, then try and install driver there. If it finds one and says unsigned, you may have to disable secure boot and do an advanced start from recovery menus and select troubleshooting advanced options, startup settings, and select option to disable driver signature enforcement.

However, next time you boot pc, you will need to do it all over again until you find a signed driver (Atheros are bad for that on older cards).

It is probably easier just to buy a usb wifi dongle or wifi card (not Atheros).

Another workaround is to wifi bridge link a secondary router to main router and connect to secondary router via an ethernet port.

I have carried out the process that you have described, however I carry this process out on a weekly basis as the fault comes up that the
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless adapter is not recognised.

I have updated the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless adapter (microsoft)

Is there anything else that I should be updating?
