Windows 10: My printer shows offline. The troubleshooter says to 'contact network administrator". It...

I have wireless hookup. It is working fine.. It is a new printer and is copying and printing fine . It will not scan and says it's offline and to contact the network administrator. I phone my internet provider but they say it's microsoft . I cannot see where I get a "Network configuration page" to see if I could see what the problem is. I want to speak with a person as I'm 75 years old and am fed up with this problem.

Hey guys,

I'm having a slight issue with one of my printers in that it's showing offline and I can't print to it.

It's a Datamax label printer which is connected to my network via a Netgear print server, this has then be added to one of my servers for sharing etc.

So far I've tried the below.

- Classic on/off.
- Removing from server and re-adding.
- Ensuring that under port configuration SNMP Status is disabled.
- Assigning to different IP.
- Restarting Print Spooler.

I can ping it fine and the printer itself is letting me do manual test prints using its interface, but no matter what I cannot get it to stop showing up as offline and allowing me to print to it over the network. I should add that it's worked fine for the past year.

Any suggestions?

• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

printer shows offline

My HP M29 printer shows status as "offline" or "not connected". It is the default printer on my laptop and is connected wirelessly to the network. When I try to print, I can see that there is a document in the queue, but it will not print automatically. If I run the "troubleshooter", the document will print, but status remains as offline.

I leave the printer on 24 hours/day. Sometimes it is necessary to turn the printer off, then on again to make a document print, but status still shows "offline".

I have deleted and reinstalled this printer several times and have downloaded a fresh version of the driver, but this issue still remains.

How can I make the printer show as active and just print without the extra steps?
