Windows 10: My PC's Wifi no longer works, and I have no idea why.

A few weeks ago my PC's wireless Internet connection suddenly turned excessively intermittent to the point of uselessness. I cannot account for the change, there was no update, I installed nothing, I hadn't so much as saved a notepad file for a month.As it is I get thirty seconds of functionality and it goes dead. Sometimes the icon said it's still connected, sometimes it says there's no Internet, either way nothing gets through. Troublshooting puts me through three minutes of waiting, it usually but doesn't always reconnect, but it works for less than thirty seconds before it's down again.

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
I will post pictures and step by step as i do it

 

Wifi no longer visible to some but not all devices...

Hi folks

my pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
my work pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
girlfriends pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network is not visible from the wifi list so cannot connect to my home wifi network
girlfriends phone - android - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
my phone - android - my home wifi network is not visible from the wifi list so cannot connect to my home wifi network


all of the above were working fine with visibility to my home network until about 2 days ago... just to be clear this is one single network...

any ideas on the likely cause and solution would be appreciated...

 

Wifi not working after upgrading from Windows 7


I have just upgraded to windows 10 from Windows 7. Since doing this my wifi is no longer working. Wifi is turned on but no networks are showing. Unfortunately I only have my mobile as a hot spot to use for Internet so I can not connect an ether net cable to check if it works that way.
I had a vpn installed on my windows 7 system and read that this may be to blame. I reverted back to win 7 and uninstalled it but when I reupgraded to 10 I still have the same issue. I found the following instructions for a fix.. Fortunately – there is a solution.
"Step 1 – First things first, Right-Click the newly-reinstated Start Menu and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the drop-down menu.
Step 2 – Type out the following command, then hit the Enter key
reg delete HKCRCLSID{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
Step 3 – Enter the below command into the Command Prompt and then triumphantly hit the Enter key
netcfg -v -u dni_dne
Step 4 – Restart the PC and then double-check your wifi settings. You should now see a revived list of all of the available networks within range."
However when I try step 1 it says "error: invalid key name. Type "reg delete /?" For usage."
Any help is greatly appreciated as I will have to revert back again if I can't get it working.
