Windows 10: My PC is not detecting my wireless WiFi adapter...

So I've had my new PC for 2 months now using an ethernet cable for internet and all was fine. I'm now back at my main house where using an ethernet cable is not an option no longer. Therefore I have to go wireless. My PC brand is Vibox, specifically Vibox VIII-13 which came with a small dongle my wireless WiFi adapter. I've tried plugging it in into the USB ports at the top of my PC near the power button but no WiFi options appeared upon doing so. Therefore I tried plugging it in the back of my PC where all of the other ports are and still no detection. I'm really confused as to what the pro

Wireless NIC is no longer detected by the PC

Hi,

My issue started with frequent Wi-Fi disconnections.
This was fixed each time by PC restart.
But in order to solve the issue once for all, I tried to update/uninstall/reinstall the wifi card driver.

I uninstalled the wireless NIC in 'Device Manager'
Now after rebooting the PC, my Wi-Fi network adapter is no longer detected by the PC
And Wi-Fi option/icon even disappeared from 'Network and Internet Settings'
(the adapter was supposed to be detected automatically after reboot, but it's not the case)

I'm running a PC with :

• Motherboard X540LA, Asus Notebook
  
• Windows 10 Family x64 / 21H1 / version 10.0.19044 Build 19044
  
• Wireless NIC : Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E
  

Here are the steps that I already performed :

• Reset TCP/IP and DNS as described here How to Manually Reset a Wireless Adapter on Windows 10 & 11
  
• ResetAll Network Adapters
  
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  
• sfc /scannow
  
• full antivirus scan with Norton
  

Unfortunately I don't have any restore point I can go back to.

The issue is similar to this one : Redirecting

I'm thinking of tentative actions to perform next :

• netsh winsock reset ?
  
• netcfg -d ?
  
• complete windows reinstallation ?
  

But before getting anything worse, I would like to have your advice on some troubleshooting actions.
Any input would be valuable.

USB Wireless adapter not connecting to Wifi

Hello

I am having trouble making my new USB Wifi Adapter to work. The drivers are working fine but the issue is it is not connecting to wifi.

1. I am using Windows 10
2. The adapter which I am trying to work is Alfa AWUS036NHA 150Mbps
3. I have also one USB mini wifi adapter attached to my other USB through which I am currently using internet

From the above screenshot, the Wi-Fi 2 is which I am trying to connect. When I right-click on Wi-Fi 2 and click on Connect/Disconnect, It shows the already connected Wifi through USB mini adapter.

When I Disable WiFi and try to connect through WiFi 2 then it shows an error "Change settings, such as making a connection metered"

The device utility does not show any Wifi available connections though there are 2-3 wifi connection is there.








any idea how can I make connect to internet using my new Alfa AWUS036NHA 150Mbps Wireless USB Adaptor - Wi Fi 2 on Windows 10 ?
