    My PC all of a sudden has become incredibly slow and laggy


    I recently was watching YouTube and then all of a sudden my PC froze and I couldn't do anything, I forcefully turned it off then I booted it up again and then it made a loud beeping sound, it did about 20 beeps in 10 seconds then it would turn off and then it would start up and do it all over again, after a while I checked inside the PC and the CPU fan stops moving and that's when the beeping would start, so I took out the fan gave it a dust because it was pretty dusty, then we applied some new thermal paste on it and put it back to together, now when you start up the PC it starts up and the f

    Slow & Laggy PC

    Hello,

    So, a few months ago i decided to upgrade from windows 8 to windows 10 Home, everything went though smoothly. a month later i decided to upgrade to windows 10 pro. after upgrading my pc has became extremely slow and laggy. i can barely watch videos, play
    games, web page load extremely slow, everything just slow. so i thought maybe windows 10 pro just isnt for me, so i downgraded back to windows 10 home and everything is still the same, slow and laggy and my CPU and RAM always 100% even when i just have chrome
    open. i deleted the windows.old folder, did a clean install but nothing works. any suggestion?

    My pc is a Dell System Inspiron N7110

    installed memory ram: 4.00 GB (3.90) GB unstable

    My desktop is incredibly laggy, but there seems to be no reason for it to be so slow.

    So basically what the title says, my desktop is incredibly laggy. I just upgraded to windows 11, but I had the same issue when I had windows 10. The strange thing is that I can play hardware intensive games or run software at high framerates, and the only slow part of my pc is the damn desktop. It's just annoying but not really getting in my way, but I'd still like to fix it.

    I tested my RAM with memtest86 and there weren't any issues, I have a 1tb m.2 drive that functions properly and my CPU is running as it should. But as I said I don't think it is a hardware issue since I can play graphically intensive games at high framerates while there are multiple other programs running in the background.

    I'd like to emphasize that none of the programs on my computer / windows apps run slowly.

    Below are my specs.

    • Ryzen 5 5600x
    • RTX 3070Ti
    • ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E gaming (wifi)
    • Samsung 980 1Tb
    • 3600Mhz corsair 2 x 8gb
    My PC is not overheating, restarting windows explorer doesn't help, I don't have a lot of background processes. Please help.
