My new pc has a Win 10 RTM Professional Retail license yet my Windows 11 Pro won't activate. What to do?

Transfer Win 10 license to a new PC

Hello,

I bought a new PC and read that I can transfer my Windows 10 license to it and I have a few questions.

Few years ago I used Win 7 Pro license to install my two PC's.

When FREE update came I upgraded both of them to Windows 10 x64 PRO.

Yesterday I assembled a new PC which will replace one of them and I want to transfer the license to it from the one it is replacing.

The question is if I transfer the activation license will I lose the activation on the second PC or not?

What is Win 10 RTM Professional Retail? How is it different from Windows 10 Home? Will you suggest me to change my laptop product key from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 RTM Professional Retail? What

Nothing was ever mentioned about the WIndows 8 or 10 Professional license you bought

• Apologies for the lack of details, I am starting to get picture/mechanics of digital license
  

Did you insert it's key at any time?

• Yes I did for both, the window 8 keys seem to update product key to the generic 3V66T, while the windows 10 Pro key updated the product key to its own.
  

If you audit the keys installed using ProducKey you may find the retail key which activated it among the Generic key and the factory OEM key

• I tested with windows 8 key (Which i suspected to be the one tied to digital license). Inside ProducKey there are only 3 Products, no tract of retail key activated among the Generic key other than Windows Home Key
  
  1) Internet Explore - Generic Key 3V66T
  
  2) Windows (BIOS OEM Key) My laptop Windows Home OEM Key ( Win 10 RTM Core OEMM checked with show key plus)
  
  3) Windows 10 Pro - Generic Key 3V66T
  

What made you think the Windows 8 key might not be good?

• Initially i thought it was faulty because it was not updating the product key like the Windows 10 Pro key I bought from microsoft store
  

The risk is it is a Volume License key

• Can this really be? Because the program ShowPlusKey check edition of the key to be Win 8 RTM Professional Retail, no mention of Volume anywhere
  

it's permanent and will stay a Digital License for the life of the hardware, until you move it using Activation Troubleshooter or MS Support.

• So I strongly suspected that the Win 8 Key is the culprit here but for my peace of mind, is there a test or way to find out that Win 8 key is really the one producing the digital license?
