Windows 10: My mouse scroll wheel is not working properly

From a few days now I am seeing that my mouse is working fine when I am scrolling it upwards but it doesn't work properly when I scroll down. When I scroll down it sometimes for1 second works fine and all of a sudden stops scrolling, but my wheel scrolls fully. I have tried reinstalling my drivers, restarted it and disconnected and reconnected my wired mouse? I use Logitech G402 mouse and It's been around 1 year since I got the mouse. Even while writing this and submitting this my mouse wasn't scrolling correctly, I had to use my touchpad. Why is it happening?

Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) Scroll Wheel not working.

the scroll wheel on my Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) stopped working. I have done all troubleshooting steps: system updates, installed Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center, disconnected mouse and reconnected. Nothing has worked yet. Haven't yet tried
it on a different PC. Don't have another Microsoft PC. Have a MacBook, but not sure the mouse can work on that. Any suggestions?

If your mouse scroll wheel not working then you can follow the steps below:

Update mouse drivers:

Update mouse drivers. The most effective way to update your mouse driver is to download and install the latest mouse driver from the manufacturer's website.

On a Windows 10 PC, open and check the Device Manager to ensure there isn't an exclamation mark next to the mouse driver after you've updated. If there is, you'll want to roll back the driver and try something else.

Fix corrupt system files:

At this point, it is possible your system files may be corrupt. Before you try anything drastic, make sure you've installed the latest system updates for Windows 10.
