Windows 10: My laptop won't reconnect to the Internet. It asks for an Ethernet cable which I don't have...

Logged on this morning to game with my buddies and I got hit with no Internet and an Ethernet cable required screen. I've tried videos, laptop resets, wifi resets. Nothing is working much to my dismay.WINDOWS 11, INTEL CORE i7, NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX, 144Hz refresh rate, VICTUS laptop.

my laptop won`t connect to internet

my apps and browser cannot connect to internet and i tryed wifi and ethernet both but still it doesn`t work

but when i connect my phone to my laptop with the cable and turn on the hotspot

it connects to the internet

what should i do to fix it?

 

Windows 10 doesn t recognize ethernet cable

I've recently upgraded from win7 to win10, and it says cable is unplugged or broken now, but it was working perfectly fine right before the update. Tried resetting the network settings, and updating the driver automatically with windows by using USB tethering
to the last version, still not working. Used half and full duplex settings. The cable just won t be recognized

The driver is Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V

Volume Mute Light won´t change color

For my model only up to win7 is listed and HP says that it does not provide win 10 upgrades for a laptop my age. Don´t know how to open or use msconfig-my computer skills are very selective and all in all very poor.
