Windows 10: My input/mic takes the output/headphones sound.

I have JBL Quantum 200 headset with microphone. My splitter has both the mic and headphones cables plugged in. The issue occurred when I was talking with someone when out of a sudden sound from my computer like game sound, spotify, yt etc. could be heard through my microphone people I was talking with heard the music I played only on my end, didn't stream or share anything it just went through my mic. I tested most things, turned off mix stereo, checked my splitter with my older microphone which worked without any audio coming from my pc, got the newest drivers and the issue is still present

I have JBL Quantum 200 headset whit mic. I have 1 cable from headphones and i have plugged it in to the splitter and than to the mic jack/input and headphones jack/output and if il do anything.. like if im watching youtube if i play game and voice chat whit someone they hear them self. I see it in audio setting how it pick the sound. IDK where is problem.. please someone help?

 

My headphones will not act as an input and output device

Hi, I have a Astro Gaming A10 headset. My headset has a mic and I'm able to both speak and listen when i use it on Xbox. However when i plug it into my Windows 11 PC it will only detect as an input, allowing me only to speak, or as an output, allowing me only to hear. When i look at the sound settings it will only show the headphones as input or output and will not appear if i click on the opposite setting. These are the microphone specs

• Microphone: 0.24 in (6 mm) uni-directional microphone
  
• Ear coupling: Over-Ear
  
• Connection: 0.14 in (3.5 mm) 5 Pole Jack
  
• Drivers: 1.30 in (33 mm) Neodynamic
  

I made sure to check if my computer was updated and that the headphones are not physically broken. Essentially i can only have input or output on the headphones.

Trouble with the input and output settings with my headphones

My headphones have a mic built in that does not hang off the side of the headphones. I want them to be both my input and output device but it will only allow me to have it be one. The input device ends up being the one on the laptop that is very
loud because of the fan constantly sounding like I'm in a barber shop. Wondering if anyone can help. Thanks.
