    My finger print scanner suddenly stopped working, how do I fix it?


    So, I was able to use my fingerprint scanner normally, but after I updated my computer, it said I didn't have a fingerprint scanner and that I never had one. It shows up in biometric devices tho. Ideas on fix?

    OK so, when i first got this laptop , like 6 months ago, i would use the finger print scanner all the time to log in. but one day it just stopped working and i didn't pay attention to it. until recently I've tried to figure out why it wasn't working. so
    i went to setting but it said thr finger print scanner was unavailable. some pages requested for me to detach the type cover but i did not find how to do so because all the steps were not possible on my laptop. how can i fix it?
