Windows 10: My device asking for a bit locker key which we have never encrypted.

How to resolvw this issue and how can i contact a support person from microsoft.

bit locker & data encryption

I encountered a problem with data encryption. I used to have access to Bit Locker and I had encrypted one of my drives with Bit Locker, but after I deleted all the junk files with the software, Bit Locker was no longer active and I could not access the encrypted drive. I had to format the drive. Even now, despite having all the prerequisites on the laptop and even having the data encryption section, I cannot access this section, and the bit locker has been removed from the control panel, and the bit locker is no longer on the device. does not deny I apologize for the bad grammar. Bit Locker recovery Key/ complications

I have just recently purchased a new Lenovo Tablet (MIIX 320 ) Windows 10 Home, it was working great and was easily set up. It was fine for about two days until Windows preformed an auto-update. After the up date I can no longer boot the device. I get a
blue screen asking for a bit locker recovery key.

In reviewing the devices on my Microsoft account I find the device listed twice with bit locker activated. There is no recovery key recorded on the account and there is no ay to retrieve a key. The Tablet OS is Windows 10 Home which for all intents and purposes
cannot support Bit Locker encryption but I clearly have a frozen blue screen asking for a key.

Lenovo sends me to Microsoft and Microsoft sends me to a service. The service wants $499.95 for one time service with no guarantee for the repair. I am very concerned that I should have to pay $500 to repair a new device that cost $300.

I have done all the attempts from the Command prompt to recover the key and keep getting a error indicating the code cannot be found. Meaning the key is not recorded on this device.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue.

 

Bit Locker encrypted hard drive / the key didn't work

My C drive was bit locker encrypted when I inserted it in another laptop. When inserting it back into my laptop, the bit locker window opened before the login and i couldn't access my computer anymore. I found the recovery key from the other computer that should unlock my hard drive and entered it on my computer. It said that it wasn't successful. I tried inserting the encrypted hard drive back to the other laptop and unlock it from there, it said that the drive has already been unlocked, however it wasn't showing in the list of available drives like before.

1. Why didn't the key work and what can I do from this point to recover my drive?

2. If I reset the drive, will Windows be also wiped from it or will it stay?
