  1. My computer keeps showing a BSOD irql_not_less_equal, pfn_list_corrupt. How do I fix it?

So I recently upgraded some parts on my PC and the most recent upgrade has been the memory. I swapped some very old RAM sticks 8GB with newer ones 32 GB. These RAM sticks are the same manufacturer and product line, just different amounts of memory.I am on windows 10, and since installing the 32GB RAM sticks I have been getting more crashes and BSODs the first being pfn_list_corrupt. I did everything you are supposed to do during a RAM swap including going into BIOS to change my RAM limits. Since the consistent crashes and BSODs, I have decided to swap back to my old RAM temporarily in ho

Hi Kyo. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

    1) Try these fixes for BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT crash:

    https://windowsreport.com/pfn_list_corrupt-wind...

(Avoid ad links which intrude into editorial copy, especially avoid Restoro, PC Repair Tool and Reimage ads)

    2) Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from the PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page. Everything else depends on this.

    3) Go over Windows using this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account to replace yours which may be corrupted. Then if necessary continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

    4) If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, is the most stable method to advance to the latest version, and solves most problems. Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

My computer keeps showing a BSOD irql_not_less_equal, pfn_list_corrupt. How do I fix it?

    PFN_List_Corrupt

    Hi there,

I have been trying to fix a BSOD error of PFN_List_Corrupt for a few weeks now with my Windows 10 install. It's very random, but annoying. I've run memtest a few times with no findings. I've reinstalled various drivers and no luck. I just recently did a
fresh Win 8.1 install to the SSD and then upgraded to Win 10. I am assuming I need to do another fresh install of 10, but before going through that, I thought I would ask the community if there was an easy PFN_List_Corrupt fix. I've searched around a fair
bit and tried some of the suggested fixes, but so far, nothing has worked.

Verifier.exe puts me in a BSOD loop. Luckily, I had a system restore point and used that.

Here is a link to my three most recent Minidump files:

    Microsoft OneDrive

    Three different driver crashes here

    - First one, the PFN_List_Corrupt (0x0000004e) caused by ntoskrnl.exe

    - Second one, Nvlddmkm.sys

    - Third one, Driver Verifier BSOD loop caused by aswsnx.sys (my Avast antivirus) as well as ntoskrnl.exe

Anyway, would love any suggestions as to best go about repairing this. Thanks in advance for any help.
