Windows 10: My Canon Pixma MP495 printer no longer works with windows 11

I have just updated my Surface Pro, and it runs Windows 11. I cannot find a driver for my Canon MP495 that I can successfully install. There are several for the scanner, but none for the printer. I have tried to install the driver that did work on Windows 10, but it cannot be successfully installed.It seems impossible that a new tablet needs to equal a new printer.Appreciate anyone with a fix!

AS advised by Microsoft, I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

All is OK but when I tried to scan a document from my Canon PIXMA MP495 it will not work - the printer works but not the scanner.

And according to Microsoft and Canon, the scanner driver is no longer supported by Windows 11

Without having to buy a new printer, how can this be resolved?

Please try the steps recommended below to uninstall printer software

Press Windows key + X, click Apps & Features or Programs and Features

Select your Canon printer.

Select Uninstall.

Press Windows key + R, type control, hit Enter

Open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your Canon Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for Canon Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Proceed to reinstall the driver.

You need to contact Canon and make sure you have the latest Windows 10 Firmware and Drivers for that printer.
