Windows 10: My audio sample rate is 16 bit 48000hz, but there is no other option.

Hi, I have problem with my laptop sound quality so I want to change frequency but there's only 16bit, laptop's model- asus ros strix g713pv please help me !

Forza Horizon 4 is the only game i've had an issue with the audio, and i also recently updated windows yesterday so i guess gigabyte didn't want you to mess with the sample rate at all.

Can you share the exact model of the motherboard?

I'm using an MSI board and I've checked and I have 24-bit audio.

Try this, open device manager by right-clicking the Windows logo then click device manager.

Next, double-click sound, video, and game controllers in device manager to expand it.

Once expanded, you should see Realtek audio there. Right-click Realtek audio then click uninstall device. After that restart the system so Windows can reinstall it.

After that, check if there are other options for default format.

You should also consider audio device that you are using.

I'm using an external 2.1 speaker and it has 24 bit audio while the USB headset that I have has only 16 bit audio.

The problem is never the 24 bit thing. They specifically tell you that to try 16 bit 48 khz as one of the solutions, so the game plays fine at the bitrate.

The problem is there are other things playing at different bitrates --- you listening to music or you are using discord at the same time. Some realtek chips can only record at 16 bit but can playback at 24 bit. So if you are using the mic, then you can't do 24 bit on those cheaper realtek chipsets.

If you can't do 24 bit, then change everything else to 16 bit.
