Windows 10: My Acer Aspire 3 15-24P R9WY touchpad not working

Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue with my touchpad. By default, it uses the I2C interface, but in this mode, it doesn’t work at all. However, when I switch it to PS/2 mode either through BIOS or driver modification, it functions without any problems.Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Updating drivers via Device ManagerInstalling the latest chipset and touchpad drivers from the manufacturer’s websiteInstalling all available Windows updateChecking BIOS/UEFI settingsDoes anyone have any ideas on how to get the touchpad working in I2C mode? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried updating bios to version 1.10 if its not already running that version?

V1.09 received enhanced touchpad detection updates so this really could be the main issue.

Another option on the Acers is in the bios (Press F2 when turning laptop on at the Acer logo, I personally press power button and spam F2 until the BIOS screen opens).

Navigate to the "Main" tab and turn toggle touchpad advanced options. I have seen touchpads stop working when set to advanced mode in bios.
