Windows 10: My account has been hacked, security details have been changed. Account recovery form denied.

On the 14th of August, I must've clicked on some sort of phishing link or something along those lines, and a process was started to change the security details of my email the recovery / backup email I assume, which, I did not have before, as I never enabled 2FA. I do not check the email that often, as it is outdated and I have mostly, with the exception of my Microsoft, switched over to another Gmail the one I am currently using. Now, because I didn't check the inbox, I didn't know that someone managed to get into my account and begin the process to change my security details to another e

No response to Account Recovery Form

Hello, I sent out a couple of Account Recovery forms and since some lacked important information, they were denied. After including more details based from memory/screenshots/transactions it seems that the recovery form ceased it's responses. Why is that? And what steps can I take to get an answer to how to get my account back?

But the scary thing is they hacked my Email account too!

I've changed the password but is that enough?

I scanned my Computer using malware and it got rid of 9 Nasty objects! Its been months since I did a scan and now I'm thinking this is how they got me.

Is a password change and malware scan removal enough to secure me? I made the password much harder than before.

Thinking about doing a reformat as well. Suggestions? Should I leave the hacked email account and make a new one?
