Windows 10: My account got locked, and i get a "something went wrong" message when I enter the code.

I was logging into my microsoft account, and it said my account got locked. I entered my phone number and it sent a code. I entered the code and it kept saying "Something went wrong." and nothing else. tried a few times, please help.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Entered wrong PIN code

I am new to the PC and Windows world.

I bought a new program and it downloaded but I can not install it because i entered the wrong PIN code too many times when I tried to open it. Tried to restart after following the steps for PIN code change. Same message again, enter PIN code.

Add gmail account to outlook without text message verification?

A screenshot might help us identify whether it is MS or gmail that is responsible for this (my guess is gmail). The MS instructions you linked to say that no verification should be required if 2FA (in gmail) is off.

I suggest you turn on 2FA in gmail, and try again.
