Windows 10: My 1TB external hard drive for some reason says it has 14.8GB free of 31.9GB. Can anyone...

I got this external hdd a long time ago and vaguely remember thinking I would partition it so possibly that is what happened. I just for Christmas 2024 got a new laptop and decided I should create an image backup of the OS before much more time goes by and something happens. The external hdd is all I have to accomplish that. So, I need help. Thanks in advance

Repartitioning an external 1TB Western Digital Hard Drive

I have an external 1TB external hard drive but it only says that the size of the drive is 450 gigs. How do I resize and merge the partition into a 1TB partition. I recently tried to clone the partitions from my laptop onto it which is probably why this
has happened?

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
