Windows 10: ms store error 0x80070001 trying to update apps

Hi! I have an MSi GE66 Raider notebook and i can no longer update apps. I get the error code 0x80070001 when trying to update apps from the microsoft store. Im a windows power user and ive searched online this and cant get a fix, so now im asking for help: please and thanks. Ive tried:WSReset.exescanning drives for errorsSFC

• Did you get any error messages when you're trying to open Windows Store apps?

Trying to update apps from Store

Thanks for the link.

The first thing I've been trying, since I can now open the Store, is to 'Update all' my apps.

The 1st in the update list is my Weather app. At the right side of the screen it has an upside-down 'U' shaped down arrow with a line through it, beside the garbage can icon. Does that mean the download didn't work? The Weather app still doesn't open.

I've waited a bit but it seems like nothing is happening.

All the other 12 apps are under the heading Queue. Some say:

• Starting download
• Pending
• Try that again (error code: 0x80070490)

Before I try the instructions in your link, I assume I should 'pause' the updates?

- and is UAC on or had you disabled it?

- do you mean there was an error, or that it completed successfully and didn't help?

Have you changed any permissions e.g. to the Windowsapps folder?

Similar here - which lists ideas that don't work...so can be skipped.
