Windows 10: Mouse single click randomly acts as a double click. windows 11

i hold left click to move program left click randomly not working and start double clicking im still hold in that time,i tried on new mouse, still like randomly double clickthe problem keep my game and my program minimize only left click right click normally fine

Could you please help me with the below questions:

• Which version of Windows you are using? (To check, type: winver in start menu and hit enter.)
  
• Does this issue occur on a different mouse?
  

This issue happens, if there is mouse/hardware issue or it can be settings issue. I would suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps as mentioned below:

Method 1: Restore the defaults.

1. Press Windows
   and E key together on your Keyboard.
   
2. Go to View tab on the top.
   
3. Click on Options > Click on Change folder and Search options.
   
4. Click on Restore Defaults.
   Click on Apply and Ok.
   

Method 2: Change the Mouse settings.

1. Click on the Settings icon from the start menu.
   
2. Click on Devices > Click on Mouse from the left panel of the window.
3. Click on Additional Mouse Options from the right pane.
   
4. This will open the Mouse Properties window, go to Buttons tab.
   
5. Under the Double click speed, drag the slider to the left to slow down the double click speed.
   
6. Next, go to Pointer options tab, uncheck the "Enhance Pointer Precision" to
   disable pointer precision to slow down the mouse.

Windows 10 mouse randomly double clicking on single clicks

I've had an extremely annoying issue on windows 10 for a few weeks now.

My single clicks randomly act like double clicks.

I though my old mouse was faulty so i got a new and expensive one, a M.M.O.7 but this bug persists so it's definitely a windows 10 issue caused by some recent (weeks old) update, the old mouse worked fine previously....

I've checked the community but i found no solution...

It's ruining my windows 10 experience because of the annoying situations caused by this bug:

When i try select a string of text and it double clicks and selects just a single word...

When i want to move a icon and it double clicks on it...

When i click on a video to start or pause it and it goes in/out of fullscreen because it detected a double click...

When i'm moving an window and it maximizes because it double clicked...

When i click on a checkbox and it checks and then unchecks again because it was clicked twice.

Stuff like that...

Thanks for this effort, I have Logitech M570 ball mouse, and it and others still double click for single clicks, release drag and drop window selections at random points and generally make engineering work impossible with Windows 10.

The steps you indicated made no difference. I have eliminated mouse, driver, switches leaving only the change in Windows 10 as the cause.

Please if anyone has a solution which works, let me know!
