  1. Mouse Cursor Reverts to Default on Reboot

I have recently purchased a new hp pavilion laptop,

    Model Number: HP 15-cs3055wm

I have customized it with a cursor scheme that I absolutely love, however, anytime I turn the device off and back on the cursor scheme reverts back to default. When I go back into the settings it will say that my scheme, "purple", is selected and active but in order for me to visually see it I have to restore default and re-enable "purple".

I found this article that seems to imply that the drivers for the cursor are outdated or corrupt, which doesn't make sense as I just purchased this laptop brand new and there are no driver updates available. It goes on to give different methods of fixing the issue including messing around in the registry of the device which I have no problem doing however, if there is a fix on Microsoft's end, I'd prefer to try that first.

    I found this article on here;

However, this solution does not fix my problem or match my computer settings at all.

I am looking for an actual solution as I shouldn't be having this kind of issue with an out of the box device, and frankly, am quite annoyed by it.

    Thank you.

    :)

  2. mouse settings revert to default

    Hi,

A possible cause why your mouse settings revert to default could be an outdated mouse driver. We suggest that you download and install the latest mouse driver from the manufacturer's website and see if it helps. After ensuring that the correct driver is
installed, check if the device is recognized in the Device Manager.

Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes.

    No mouse cursor

    Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Shutdown the computer.
    • After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
    • Wait for 1 minute.
    • After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
    • Check if you will see the mouse cursor.

Let us know how it goes.

No mouse cursor on Windows 10

After installing Windows 10 apparently successfully except ... no mouse cursor on wireless USB mouse. Tried rebooting with wired USB mouse but still no mouse cursor. Using numeric arrows and tab key managed to navigate to settings - no mouse device listed.

Tried everything but can't use Windows without mouse.
