Windows 10: MountUUP

I have a MountUUP folder on windows 10 cuz i was trying to get windows 11 22h2 iso from uupdump and i don't know where the iso is and it created this folder. I searched about this folder in the internet and i see there is in windows 11 so can you please help me uninstall this cuz i don't want to have windows 11 or something like that, and i don't want this to do with my privacy or security i don't know if i can turn the pc off cuz i don't know if it'll automaticly download windows 11

How can I QUICKLY and EASILY INSTANTLY delete the 4 TeraByte plus MountUUP folder???

I downloaded Build 19035 from UUPDump and when it's creating the ISO file it creates this folder in the root of the drive where you've downloaded the new build.

It has a whole lot of different security policy settings and is a nightmare to try and delete!

BTW Shawn - I have tried to delete it several times using your "empty folder" reg file but no good.

Hi there

puzzeld by this going into the root directory -- how is this possible !!!!.

I download the file from UUPDUMP and then use 7Z or whatever extract / de-archive program you have to extract the files into the directory I downloaded UUPDUMP script from and run the cmd file from that directory and then when executing the cmd the eventually created iso stays in the uupdump extracted directory.

Now when running the .exe file AFTER it's created the W10 system mounts it as a "Virtual DVD -- when finished simply on File explorer go to -->eject.

I've never had this file entering root directory !!!

Another way to get rid of it --boot up asny linux live distro and then simply delete it with the built in file manager if you don't want to use a linux cmd line.

I always downloaded UUPDUMP script from UUPDump to get ISOs. You mentioned that the MountUUP folder that has been created has been on the "root directory" but I just want to clarify that it created on the root of the drive where I've run the UUPDUMP script and not C drive which has my Windows installed. *Smile

As far as "boot up asny linux live distro and then simply delete it"is concerned that is a lot of stuffing around that I really shouldn't have to do! The script should automatically delete the folder which is clearly a temp folder that the script creates.

Don't you agree??

Perhaps our wonderful guru Shawn can shed some light on this problem and maybe even write a script that cleans up after the UUPDUMP script successfully completes its task. *Wink
