Windows 10: Mobile Hotspot not appearing in Network Connections in Windows on ARM

When running windows on ARM, the mobile hotspot network does not appear in the network connections control panel, so no advanced configuration can be made on the hotspot network. The purpose would be to route a TAP Adapter VPN connection to the hotspot, but without this appearing or being editable in the network connections panel this is currently not possible.Specs: Machine: Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon X1E80100OS Build: Windows 11 24H2 26100.2605

Windows not discovering mobile hotspot

I think you have already answered both of the other points I would have checked so I have nothing else useful to suggest -
- Your computer can detect other 2.4GHz networks/hotspots
- Other computers can detect your phone's 2.4GHz hotspot

I have deliberately altered some Windows settings to hide unwanted local networks [not just stop any connection to them but hide them from appearing in the list of available networks]. But you have not been taking similar measures or you would have said so.

As a final check, see if your phone's mobile hotspot appears in the list of detected networks using
NirSoft WiFiInfoView

Mobile hotspot not showing in the network connection

I was trying to connect my mobile hotspot to my laptop, it stated connected but no internet (There was no issue with the internet in my mobile). Then I thought i would just forget the network and windows would find it again .Since then my mobile hotspot
is not showing up in the available networks list. I also tried changing the mobile hotspot name and password it didn't work as well.

Any ideas on what to do?

• How are you connecting to the mobile hotspot?
  
• Which driver did you remove to fix the issue?
  

It appears that you are using USB tither to connect to the mobile internet which is different from mobile hotspot or the computer is connected to a LAN (Wired network).

If the issue is with your wired network, you may follow the steps mentioned in the article below.
