Windows 10: Missing Photos

I selected all of my photos, then selected cut, then pasted them onto an external hard drive. Now my pictures are not on the drive, not in my pictures folder and not in the recycle bin. Are they lost forever? Or any suggestions on where they might be and how to recover them? I have Windows 10 if that matters. Thank you

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

 

Missing Photos

Hi Tanya,

There are different ways to restore your deleted or missing files, such as restoring it from previous versions or from a backup. Since that your back up hard drive isn't working, we suggest that you restore your deleted or missing files from previous versions.
Follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open File Explorer.
• Navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, and then right-click on it.
• Select Restore previous versions.
  If the folder was at the top level of a drive, for example C:\, right-click the drive, and then click on
  Restore previous versions.

To delete those duplicate photos, we suggest that you visit
Microsoft Store and check for available 3rd party app for it.

Photo App Missing on Windows 10

I've seen several threads about installing a missing photo app. I've tried the suggestions listed on these threads to get the photo app back and nothing works. Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
