    Missing 'Biometrics' gpedit.msc

Hello,I want to disable my pin. In order to disable my pin, I have to enable 'Windows Hello Face'. When I'm at Settings -> accounts, it says that: Hello face, Hello Fingerprint and Hello Pincode are not available. When i click them, it says: this device does not meet your organization's requirements for Windows Hello sorry for my bad english. I saw on google that u had to enable some things in the map Biometrics in the app GPEDIT.MSC. When i open the app, the map Biometrics is missing. I've tried everything i could find on the internet but so far i got no luck. Any solutions?

    :)

I can't set a slideshow in the Lock Screen and one of the Microsoft suggestions to use gpedit msc didn't work

I can't set up a slideshow for the lock screen. I can select a picture from the computer or I can select one of the Windows 10 standard pictures. If I select slideshow it doesn't change the PREVIEW and when the computer is inactive I get a black screen.

One of the suggestions made by Microsoft in response to this problem in another post was to run gpedit msc. I have tried this or gpedit.msc or gpedit and in all cases the message I get is gpedit or gpedit.msc or gpedit msc "is not recognised as an
internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

How do I fix the lock screen problem or invoke the local group policy editor?

Now, restart your computer and follow the instructions provided below.

Method 2: Reinstall drivers and compatibility mode.

I suggest you to download and install the latest drives for fingerprint sensor device from the manufacture’s website and check if it gets detected.

If the issue still persist, you may also install the drivers in compatibility mode and check.

Follow the steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

    • Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
    • Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".
    • Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
    • Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

After installing the drivers in compatibility mode, follow the method 3 and check if you are able to get the sign in option with Biometric.

    Method 3:

    • Press Windows logo key + I key.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Go to Sign in options.
    • The fingerprint option will always be visible if there is a WBF-supported fingerprint reader (and its associated driver) installed on the computer.

    Missing 'Biometrics' gpedit.msc

gpedit missing from Windows 10 Home

It seems that the Group Policy Editor (gpedit) is missing for Windows 10 Home. If you do WindowsKey+R and enter "gpedit.msc" you get the following message:

What are the steps required to install gpedit on Windows 10 Home? Is there a Microsoft sanctioned download of gpedit from the Microsoft domain?
