Discus and support Misleading:Win32/Lodi in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Misleading:Win32/Lodi.Despite trying everything I have read on the site I cannot seem to remove this item.Windows security indicates it has found it...     Misleading:Win32/Lodi


    Misleading:Win32/Lodi.Despite trying everything I have read on the site I cannot seem to remove this item.Windows security indicates it has found it and describes it as Low Risk. I have looked for the file path shown but that is not on my PC.I have run several scans including an offline ones and Win Security is still finding it.Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it.TMWGray

    MSERT only partially removes Misleading: Win32?Lodi. How do I get rid of it, entirely?

    Yes Raniel,

    It seems that Skype is (or was) the culprit. I went down through the list and when Skype was disabled, that weird window that flashed up there for a nanosecond is not doing that anymore. My question is: have you seen this before?

    Also, having run the Microsoft Safety Scanner, this came up:

    VrTool:Win32 /Defender Tampering Restore - and this was removed.

    Browser Modifier Win32/Xeelyak - this was partially removed.

    Browser Modifier: Win32/Dipugem - this also was removed

    Misleading Win32/Lodi - this was detected, not removed.

    Obviously, whatever that stuff is, it was not responsible for creating the grief. Can you say in layman's terms what those things are?
