Windows 10: Miracast Color/Display Issue

Miracast has previously worked for me - haven't tried it for several months but now get a blurred rainbow mess across the entire screen, similar to a color or bit rate issue or video cable not being plugged in properly have tried on 3 separate devices wireless devices and all do the sameOS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 ProVersion: 10.0.19044 Build 19044 21H2Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600BaseBoard: X570M Pro4GPU: RX5500 XT 8GB OCWi-Fi Adaptor: IntelR Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHzAny help would be appreciated! Is there any diagnostic I can do or any options I can change?

Does Miracast support 4K?

Hello,

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
by following the steps below:

• Click Start, then go to Settings >
  Projecting to this PC.
• Check if your device supports Miracast.

Windows Color Management Issue

Hi billin30,

With the issue you're having with your display color, I suggest that you calibrate. There may have been settings that is causing the issue and resetting them may solve this. Follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key on your keyboard, type Calibrate display color.
2. Follow the on screen instructions.

If the issue will not somehow improve, try to check with your monitor's color settings just to be sure.

Also, I'd like to clarify what monitor is having the issue with its display going to the 'other monitor'? I'd also like to ask for help in isolating the issue. Try to use the monitors one-by-one or have them pair up with one another. Like have BenQ paired
with Asus then have Alienware paired with Asus etc.

Update me if there were improvements.

 

Miracast connectivity issue

• The Display Adapters are having an issue.
  
• The monitor you want to connect wirelessly doesn't support Miracast.
  
• The graphics card installed on your laptop doesn't support Miracast.
  

Based on the information you've provided, the monitor you want to connect doesn't support Miracast. We suggest getting a new monitor that supports Miracast.
