Windows 10: Minecraft Java Edition not recognized in my microsoft account

Hello Microsoft, I bought Minecraft Java edition a year ago via a redeem code from eneba. I linked my Mojang profile to my microsoft account at the time and redeemed the code. Not a problem playing in windows 7 as I could download the installer from the Minecraft website. To this day I still have that edition available on my account on the Minecraft website. Recently I changed my OS to Windows 10, but when I download and run the installer it tells me to sign in my Microsoft account in the Microsoft Store. Once there, the Store doesn't seem to recognize my version of Minecraft, and the installe

If you have purchased several copies of Minecraft from Mojang, then I suggest you to refer the
Mojang refunds policy and check their refund policy.



If you want to swap your editions of Minecraft that you have purchased, please
Contact Mojang Support and they will help you with this.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Microsoft Store, then I suggest you to refer
Returning items you bought from Microsoft Store for exchange or refund
and check if you can get a refund.



As you need the Java Edition of Minecraft, you can follow the steps mentioned in

the Java Edition of Minecraft on your computer.



Before purchasing the Java Edition of Minecraft, I suggest you to refer the system requirements for installing the Java Edition of Minecraft from

to use the same Email account you used at the time of purchase.



Please note that a Minecraft purchase is tied to your account (email address) and not a device. As such, you
can download and install Minecraft: Java Edition on as many computers as you want. To log in, use your email address and password (or username and password if you have an older account)

Setting Microsoft Family app limit on Minecraft Java edition

Time spent using Minecraft Java edition doesn't show up in the list of apps used in Microsoft Family. This means you can't set an app limit on it. Minecraft launcher shows up, but it only says it has been used for 1 minute, whereas i know the game has
been played for hours. How can parental controls be applied here? It works for Minecraft Windows 10 edition but not Java.
