Windows 10: Mighost popup when reinstalling

So recently i want to reset my laptop with the delete all files option. Tired of waiting, i sleep and install it overnight. When i wake up, i got multiple popup from Mighost.exe saying


MigHost.exe: Error:

CLSIDFromStringFailed, error=0x1f3

and there is usage after that (which you can see in the picture)


I cant find anywhere people getting the same error as i do so after clicking multiple okay i thought it is gonna resume. Sadly after waiting for hours, it is still stuck at 14 percent and here comes multiple popup again. This is the picture of the popup:

I already chatted with one of the support agent here and say it's best for me to try perform reinstallation from USB.Currently i already ask my friend for media creation tool from usb but not yet to perform it.


Can anyone explain what happen with this error? And how to avoid it so in case i (and other people facing the same issues) want to reset windows, this can be preventable? Would be best if you can provide solution or steps that a person should take when facing the same situation


I put this on a discussion instead of question because i will try to reinstall by myself first and will post any update.

I would give the other 3 options mentioned in the first guide:

• STEP 3: Use HitmanPro to scan for malware and unwanted programs
• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware

And I would start with Step 4, resetting your browser

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
