Windows 10: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Retist Errors On Steam

Starting about a week ago, Steam games started having errors around C++, and I don't know much about it but it is very annoying and would like to fix it.When downloading the latest version, this popup showsThe download then fails, and provides the following log[C8E0:BAFC][2024-12-16T07:46:14]i001: Burn v3.14.1.8722, Windows v10.0 Build 19045: Service Pack 0, path: C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Local\Temp\{2BAA1C27-5DBE-4723-B060-73D16211235C}\.cr\VC_redist.x86.exe [C8E0:BAFC][2024-12-16T07:46:14]i009: Command Line: '-burn.clean.room=C:\Users\Tyler\Downloads\VC_redist.x86.exe -burn.filehandle.attach

Microsoft visual c++ 2015 error when running steam games

When i launch a steam game that needs to install visual c++ i get this error



If i hit ok i get this error



Ive gone through my program list and uninstalled all of the microsoft visual C++ programs listed, and reinstalled them but i still get the error.

 

Cannot install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022

I was able to fix this in quite a few computers by doing the following:

1. First make sure all VC++ redistributable packages from 2015 onwards were uninstalled.
   
2. Open "regedit" and navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products"
   
   1. Search within all the child keys that have a product name of "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2019...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2022...", etc.
      
   2. If you are having trouble with just the x64 version then you don't need to uninstall the x86 and its registry keys.
      
3. Try to install it again, it should work.

Hello. Where can I find this version Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable (x86) - 14.34.31938 installer? I have a file installer residue of it, impossible to remove it from install/uninstall list. Need an installer to remove it. But I couldn't find this version anywhere on internet. Would appreciate help.
