    Microsoft resists installation of Chrome Browser creates problems


    My problem is slightly different in that all of my Google Chrome shortcuts have all disappeared from Start yet they are still in the folder where I stored them.When I located them in the folder and right-clicked on them they are showing as being pinned to Start however they are not there. I thought I would try recreating them but that doesn't work either. Do you have any suggestions?Had to install Chrome 3 times to even find it, and shortcuts don't work and won't let me create them. I finally was able to find the Chrome Icon and drag it onto my desktop to create a shortcut, but that's the onl

    I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

    I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue.

    • Go to Start > Settings > System.
    • Choose Default apps, then scroll down to
      Web browser.
    • Tap or click the browser that’s currently listed as your default, then choose Chrome from the list of apps

    This would immediately lead you to an answer:

    1. Unistall Google Chrome.
    2. Download & re-install Google Chrome.

    As you are facing issue with Browser homepage, do let us know the following to assist you better:

    • Which browser pops-up after the Windows startup (Microsoft Edge/ Internet Explorer)?
    • Which is the default web browser on your computer?

    I suggest you to make Google Chrome as a default web browser also, try to edit the home page in Google Chrome and check if it helps.
