Windows 10: Microsoft Photos: File system error -2147219196

DATE : 28/01/2024.Same problem as everyone else.STARTED RECENTLY WITH THE LATEST UPDATES.Tried re-installed windows 10 using the latest Win Media Creation Tool thinking this was my problem.Initial install all APPS worked fine.Then after installing the first lot of updates ALL APPS using the KERNELBASE.dll and other fail.Actually, most all the MS APPS FAIL AFTER THE LATEST UPDATES.Cannot open photos.Cannot open Documents.Many other apps fail as well like Voice recorder, Groove music, Camera, Calendar, Calculator AND THE LIST GOES ON.THIS IS A MAJOR MICROSOFT UPDATE PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE RECT

Microsoft Photos File System Error -2147219196

After installing the Windows 10 Update 1909 update, my Photos app automatically shuts down with the file system error -2147219196 whenever I try to open an image file. Similar threads
suggested resetting or repairing the Photos app or re-installing the app entirely but none worked for me. I will be glad to get any help.

I am experiencing the same issue. Microsoft Photos worked yesterday, but is giving the same "File System Error (-2147219196)" on Windows 10 Pro on 1 PC, but is still working on another. I tried your Powershell procedure above, rebooted, and Microsoft Photos still crashes with the same error. Please escalate this issue to the MS Photos developer. I can open jpg files with other apps, so it is not a file system issue!
